Besides the installation of new insulation, our services also include the removal of damaged and/or harmful insulation from your building, firestopping and soundproofing. Below is a growing list of services that we provide.
By using spray foam insulation, installed by a certified Spray Foam professional, the issue of air leakage is eliminated. Spray foam insulation seals your home completely, making it 100% airtight. Spray foam insulation is seamless, making it more efficient than any other material used to insulate a structure. The R – value of medium density spray foam insulation is well over two times that of conventional fiberglass batt insulation, provided the latter is operating under ideal conditions. Medium density spray foam insulation has the highest R – value per inch of any insulation available.
Cellulose insulates better! It not only offers more heat transfer resistance per square inch than other fibre insulation materials, it also seals the structure against air infiltration better than other fibre installations. Studies of actual buildings regularly show that cellulose-insulated buildings may use 20% to 40% less energy than buildings with fiberglass, even if the R-value of the insulation is identical. One reason for this is the capacity of cellulose to stop air infiltration.
Insulation in your home or workplace may contain contaminated and toxic materials that can pose serious health risks. Animals living in your attic, walls or water leakage can also damage insulation which results in decreased energy efficiency (R-value) and adds to higher energy costs.
This technique involves the spraying of various products onto construction materials in order to improve their resistance to fire while decreasing their chances of weakening, burning or melting under extreme heat. These fireproofing materials can be applied directly to steel beams, roof and floor assemblies, columns, concrete services, and joists in both industrial and commercial environments. The amount of spray-on fireproofing needed will depend on the weight, size and type of structure to which it will be applied.
Sound absorption (soundproofing) achieved with blown cellulose insulation exceeds that of most other noise damping materials. For maximum sound absorption, blown cellulose is used in conjunction with resilient bars/rods with additional layers of gyprock. Because cellulose is made from 85% recycled newspaper and biodegradable protective additives, it is a non-polluting and non-irritant material. Tests have proven this product free of any gas emission whatsoever.
